Welcome to the weird world of a waiting mum.

This blog is designed to help me through the maddnes that is the waiting game that is played out by all adoptive parents. having something to play with that will help to kept the mind positive and focused on the joy that is waiting around the corner of time, that is just out of our focus!!

Simply waiting for Abbey & Georgia

Back from thailand

This is the our place we are selling, we have not had rain for so long except where I have watering systems for the trees the ground has cracks wide enough to break a leg in.

Well I (Sue) am back from Thailand and the big shopping trip with the girl friends, WOW what a wonderful time. Definately do that again. LOL but dont think I had better do it when the fire season is on. Poor Col had 3 weeks of forest fires and 2 feisty boys that wanted his attention as mum wasn't there.

I got a great deal on PSP's at MBK and so the boys have been doing heaps of chores so that they earn time on the games.
So when they can this is there favorite position. They actually play really well together with these games much better then on others.

With Colin so busy while I was away Nana even got flowers for a big thanks for looking after the boys on short notice, which was just stopping the fire car out the front of Nana & Pa's house and telling the boys to "go inside and tell Nana Dad will be back some time tonight to get us". One of our friends had just been in a Fire truck that had a tree fall on it, and we are thankfull that he made it out with all limbs intact.

We have put our house on the market and are hoping to move to our dream house up the road if a kind person would will bu this house before the other gets sold again, then Colin promises me we will stay here at least another 10yrs yippee. Seeing we have had 17 houses in 23yrs of marriage I am starting to want to see the trees grow and reap the fruit that we plant in each house.

This is the dream house we are looking at buying when we sell our other house, so loking forward to the swimming pool. Jarryd remembers the house from when it was available 2yrs ago when we missed out on buying it, and he has already decided on his room. We haven't taken the boys to see it as I don't want them to get disappointed if we miss out on it again.

I try not to think about selling the house as if we don't get a sale before the other does then we are staying here and all will be good if we put a pool in here too.

old pics

I was going through some old pics and found these from Jumbo's first trip down south to met the relatives. we visited old Nana at the nursing home and the boys were so sweet entertaining the other residents. It was the last time we saw Nana she passed on shortly after.

This was Jumbo pretending to be dead and needing the foot of life, he then would get up and run around and tell the residents it was ok he was alive now. !!

One old fellow got teary when we left and asked if we could come again.

The boys chose to wear their King shirts to liven up the place. I am sure we were the big event for the week.

this is 2 of our cousins Sean and Thomas, the kids had not meet Jumbo before and had only met Jarryd once but were quickly old buddies

He was such little bundle of fun and laughter and still is just harder to catch and throw around

New Member of the Family

The boys and I went shopping with Nana today to buy the boys a bantam rooster, but came home with a surprise fathers day present for Pa.
Well the boys think that he is theirs too of course.
Mum had been looking for a Bichon cross with a Shitzu for ages so it we great.
Although Pa got naming rights and called him Jim Jim,
then Jumbo informed him that it should be
Little Jim Jim PA!
It is only 8 weeks old and the boys hardly put it down.

While I was out getting Colin his fathers day gift
for the boys, apparently all 3 where that worn out that they needed to have a doggy nap in the laundry.
I felt like the big bad mum having to wake them and drag them home to go out for tea.

When we got back to our house the boys insisted that I ring to check on Jim Jim in case he missed them too much , I had to reassure them that we would see him tomorrow for Fathers day.

then budding farmer

Big decisions today do I go and play with Jarryd or play with Dad on the Tractor. the tractor won but I missed the pic of him asleep on the tractor on Dad's knee as happens most times. It is like the car all that vibration put my baby to sleep no matter how much he fights is.

the first of many to loose

Jarryd lost his first but Jumbo wasn't far behind.

Well he keeps wanting to catch up to his big brother and now he is on his way both lost teeth within hours of one another. the poor tooth fairy is going into overdrive. All it took was some spagetti and out it came.

Off to Thailand again

Well I have talked my DH into staying home while I go back to Thailand to enjoy a leisurely shop without the 3 boys wanting my attention tor to go back to the motel to swim, eat, etc...

So the new ticker is a great reminder, to keep the excitement building. We haven't told the boys yet we will wait until the week before and then they can put in their requests. I am sure there will be many.

The boys wanted some pics of them on the ride on so here they are zipping around not mowing the lawns just hanging out and pretending to be the good soldiers that protect people.

Hey mum we just want to be Rock Stars Hey!!

Multicultural day in Rockhampton

Big day today,

We Jumbo, Ben & I went to the multicutural festival in Rockhampton, caught up with friends from our central qld adoption group and marched under the multicutural banner. Jumbo & little friend Ben were our thai reps for the day, and really made themselves know to the crowd.

I got some more takers for a Thai shopping trip in Nov or Dec so looking forward to a girls week shopping with non of those non shoppers slowing us down. Now I dont have to buy big I just like to have a leisurely look withou the time out look from the boys LOL

So while Jumbo-Dyaln and Mum were getting cultural Jarryd & Dad were doing the last AFL (footy) day down at the beach. Jarryd tells me he got several goals and some wicked marks.
Sorry Colin didn't take pics of the footy.

Last night we got together for Chinese with some of our international mates felt so sad for those unsuspecting diners at the resturant but at least the other children enjoyed having our group there to play with. It is so good to be a member of a local group for international adoption, it helps with any little issues, and helps with the wait and dealing with the local department. So thanks you guys that are listening you cheer me up just when I need it.
Cheers
Sue
